This Ford F-550 Camper is a custom-built off-grid living solution for avid explorers and overlanders alike that will help them to maintain complete comfort when spending extended periods in the great outdoors.
The camper was built by Expedition Portal forum member Scott who built everything from the ground up, which includes a main cabin that was designed in Solidworks before being molded from composite. The pop-up roof enables the camper to have almost seven feet of headroom (6'10" to be exact) when fully extended, but is just under 10 feet in total when stowed.
The Ford F-550 Camper is outfitted with a king-size bed, convertible dinette, an electric BBQ, induction cooktops, solar panels, lithium-ion batteries, 100 gallons of water storage and more. Priced at $225,000, the camper would provide comfortable living from anywhere.
