BaT Auction: 55k-Mile 1986 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet

This 1986 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet is finished in Guards Red over black leather and is powered by a 3.2-liter flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes a black soft top, front and rear spoilers, Fuchs 16″ wheels, heated front seats, a steering wheel with an elevated hub, and a Blaupunkt cassette stereo. The car was recently acquired by the selling dealer and maintenance in preparation for the sale included new brake rotors and pads, a valve adjustment and tune up, fluid changes, and new tires. Now showing 55k miles, the car is offered in New York with the factory manuals, service records back to 2002, tools, a tonneau cover, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Connecticut title.

The car is finished in Guards Red and is equipped with front and rear spoilers, fog lamps, and a black top boot. The seller states a full tonneau cover is included in the sale, and that the driver-side door is believed to have been repainted.

Fuchs 16″ wheels feature black centers and wear Bridgestone Potenza tires that the seller states were mounted in preparation for sale. Instrumentation consists of a tachometer, a 170-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level, oil level, oil temperature, and oil pressure. The six-digit odometer shows 55k miles.

The 3.2-liter flat-six features Bosch fuel injection and produced 207 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque when new. The seller states a valve adjustment and oil change were performed, along with replacement of the distributor cap and rotor, fuel filter, air filter, and spark plugs.
