BaT Auction: 2005 Ferrari F430 6-Speed

This 2005 Ferrari F430 is finished in Rosso Corsa over tan leather and is powered by a 4.3-liter DOHC V8. The car was factory equipped with an F1 electrohydraulic transaxle and received a six-speed manual conversion at European Auto Group of San Antonio, Texas in 2019. Equipment includes 19″ wheels, carbon-ceramic brakes, Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, aftermarket exhaust headers, a stainless steel Capristo exhaust system, Daytona-style seats, and an Alpine stereo system. The car was acquired by the seller in 2017 and listed on BaT in October 2020. Work carried out in March 2020 consisted of a brake fluid flush, an oil change, and a pre-purchase inspection. This F430 has 36k miles and is now offered with service records, owner’s manuals, a tool kit, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Pennsylvania title.

The Pininfarina-designed body is finished in Rosso Corsa (322) and equipped with xenon headlights, Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, and quad Capristo exhaust tips exiting on either side of the rear diffuser. The seller notes a crack on the front bumper and a dent on the right-rear quarter panel.

Factory 19″ front and 20″ rear wheels are finished in black and wear Continental ExtremeContact tires that show 2016 date codes. The optional carbon-ceramic brakes feature red Ferrari-branded calipers at all four corners, and a fluid flush was carried out in March 2021.

The cabin features tan leather Daytona-style seats along with matching door panels and carpets and a contrasting black dashboard. Amenities include carbon-fiber trim, automatic climate control, power accessories, and an Alpine stereo system. The gated shifter was installed as part of the six-speed manual conversion. Sticky switchgear is noted, and the radio only functions intermittently.

Instrumentation consists of a central 10k-rpm tachometer flanked by a 220-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The digital odometer has 36k miles, approximately 1,200 of which have been added by the seller.

The 4.3-liter DOHC V8 produced 490 horsepower when new and features Bosch Motronic engine management and a dry-sump lubrication system. An oil change and a pre-purchase inspection were performed in March 2021. Photos of the inspection report can be viewed in the gallery.

A six-speed manual transaxle was installed in place of the factory electrohydraulic unit by European Auto Group in San Antonio, Texas. The aftermarket exhaust system consists of wrapped Top Speed headers and a Capristo rear section.

Manufacturer’s literature is included in the sale, along with a battery tender, car and seat covers, and a factory tool kit.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Nevada and Pennsylvania. There is currently a lien on the car, and the seller’s lender will need to be paid off before the title can be transferred to the new owner. A video presentation is provided below.
