BaT Auction: 1999 Ferrari F355 GTS 6-Speed

This 1999 Ferrari F355 GTS is finished in Modena Yellow over a black leather interior and is powered by a 3.5-liter DOHC V8 paired with a six-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes a body-color removable roof panel, pop-up headlights, 18″ five-spoke alloy wheels, Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, a Challenge-style rear grille, four-wheel ventilated disc brakes, air conditioning, Fabspeed headers, and an aftermarket exhaust system. The car was first registered in Wisconsin and was acquired by the seller in 2017. A timing belt service completed in March 2017 also included replacing the engine mounts, spark plugs, and fluids. This F355 GTS is now offered with service records, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean New York title in the seller’s name.

The seller states that the front bumper has been refinished.

Factory 18″ five-spoke alloy wheels are wrapped in Continental ExtremeContact DW Tuned tires measuring 225/40 up front and 265/40 out back. Braking is handled by four-wheel ventilated discs with red-finished Ferrari-script calipers.

The cabin features bolstered black leather seats with yellow stitching along with a matching dashboard and door panels. Amenities include air conditioning, power windows, dual airbags, a gated shifter, Ferrari-branded floor mats, and a factory AM/FM cassette stereo.

A four-spoke steering wheel fronts Veglia instrumentation including a 200-mph speedometer, a tachometer with an 8,500-rpm redline, and gauges for oil pressure and coolant temperature. An analog clock and gauges for fuel level and oil temperature are mounted in the center stack. The six-digit odometer shows 30k miles, 2k of which were added by the seller. An Exceeds Mechanical Limits title was issued by South Carolina in 2008, and total mileage is unknown.

The mid-mounted 3.5-liter DOHC V8 was factory-rated at 375 horsepower and 268 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle. A March 2017 service at Universal Autosports in Glen Cove, New York included changing the fluids, installing Fabspeed headers and catalytic converters, and replacing the timing belt, drive belts, tensioners, spark plugs, and engine mounts. The seller states that a Tubi exhaust system has also been installed.

The Carfax report shows registration history in Wisconsin, Illinois, North Carolina, West Virginia, South Carolina, Florida, and New York and lists no accidents or other damage.
