This 1995 Ferrari 456 GT is one of 1,548 examples produced during a five-year production run and now shows 39k miles. Finished in Monaco Blue over blue Connolly leather, the car is powered by a 5.5-liter V12 paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. Other equipment includes a limited-slip differential, a gated shifter, a Ferrari CD stereo, alloy wheels, yellow brake calipers, and pop-up headlights. The seller acquired the car in a February 2020 BaT auction and has since had the suspension inspected and the timing belts, engine mounts, air-conditioning compressor, camshaft seals, spark plugs, and more replaced. Now showing just over 39k miles, this 456 GT is offered with more than $45k in service records since 2013, manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The aluminum bodywork of the 456 GT was designed by Pietro Camardella and Lorenzo Ramaciotti at Pininfarina. This example is finished in Azzurro Monaco Metallic (505), and under previous ownership a protective film was applied to the nose. The paintwork and exterior trim are shown in detail in the photo gallery below.
Factory 17″ alloy wheels are mounted with Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires. Braking is handled via yellow-painted calipers, and the car features electronically adjustable suspension with three driving modes. The seller describes the suspension as loose, and paperwork from a June 2020 inspection at Ferrari Los Angeles indicates that a suspension speed sensor and switch are faulty as well as other issues with the suspension system.
The cabin is upholstered in blue Connolly leather with matching blue carpeting and features a gated shifter. Amenities include power front seats, a factory CD player, and air conditioning, which was recharged in June 2020. The seller notes that the passenger-side window does not fully seal.
A four-spoke steering wheel fronts factory instrumentation that includes a 200-mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges including an analog clock are mounted in the center stack. The six-digit odometer shows nearly 39,500 miles, approximately 600 of which have been added during current ownership.
The 5.5-liter V12 Tipo F116 V12 was rated at 436 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque when new. Features include dry-sump lubrication as well as Bosch Motronic engine management. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a rear-mounted six-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential.
Additional images of the underside—photographed for the February 2020 BaT listing—are presented in the gallery below.
In May 2020 $12,400 was spent at Fast Cars Ltd of Redondo Beach, California for a service that included replacing the timing belts, tensioner, air-conditioning compressor, camshaft seals, valve-cover gaskets, spark plugs, engine mounts, and more as shown on the seven-page invoice below. Additional service records are also shown individually in the gallery along with photos taken during the most recent service.
The June 2020 Carfax report shows no accidents or other issues, with activity in Texas, Wyoming, Colorado, and California beginning in 1995.
Start-up and driving videos are provided above, and a clip showing operation of the pop-up headlights can be viewed here.
