BaT Auction: 1986 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa

This 1986 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa is finished in Dark Blue over tan leather and is powered by a 3.2-liter flat-six mated to a five-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes 16″ Fuchs forged wheels, integrated front fog lights, power-adjustable front seats, air conditioning, a MOMO shift knob, and an aftermarket CD stereo. The car spent time in Pennsylvania and Illinois prior to its purchase by the current owner from the selling dealer in 2018. It now shows 105k miles, and recent service included an oil change. This Carrera Targa is now offered on dealer consignment in Missouri with a clean Carfax report and a clean Montana title in the name of the current owner’s LLC.

The exterior is finished in Dark Blue (K5) with a removable black Targa roof panel. The cabin features seats and door panels upholstered in tan leather, along with a dark blue dashboard, carpets, and floor mats. The front seats are power-adjustable, and additional amenities include air conditioning, power windows, central locking, a MOMO shift knob, and an aftermarket AM/FM/CD stereo and amplifier. The seller notes that the air conditioning does not hold a charge, the seat bolsters show cracks, and the fan speed slider is missing its plastic cover.

The steering wheel features a replacement leather wrap and fronts a 170-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit odometer shows less than 105k miles, approximately 20 of which were added by the selling dealer.

The air-cooled 3.2-liter M930/21 flat-six features Bosch L-Jetronic fuel injection and was factory rated at 200 horsepower. Recent service included an oil change.
