The famed 2000GT, considered by many to be the most beautiful classic Japanese road car ever built, started production in 1967 as a competitor to the Jaguar E-Type, another legendary sports car. Built-in collaboration with Yamaha Motor Co, the 2000GT enjoyed three years of production, with the last car rolling off the line in 1970. Only 337 cars were produced. The 2000GT was ahead of its time for the era, and employed many cutting edge features.
The 2000GT featured a 2.0-liter straight-six engine, disk brakes in every corner, as well as radial tires and four-wheel double-wishbone suspension.
